When at the end of last year I fell into a really bad reading slump I knew it was time for desperate measures! Book Review: Living Dead Girl, by Elizabeth Scott

Add the book to Goodreads Buy the book from Amazon I created my Disturbia page when I wrote this review. Disturbia is the place for books with warnings, for books that deal with very dark aspects of the human nature and that can be deeply disturbing. So, A HUGE WARNING for this book! It is very graphic, sexually explicit, deeply disturbing, chilling, unnerving, devastating and filled with physiological and physical abuse and terror. What the book description says is true… You will never, ever … Keep reading

Book Review: Too Many White Men, by J.G. Alt

Since I usually read YA urban fantasy/Sci-fi, sometimes I forget how gratifying Adult fiction can be! TMWM touches on almost every controversial subject that there is: racism, sexism, religion… and I either completely agreed or completely disagreed with every part of it. So I was smiling, frowning, shaking my head, rolling my eyes, smirking and “tsk-ing” the whole time! And I loved it! There was, though,  one thought that remained unchanged throughout the entire book: “I wish I could write like this!” My page-turner check marks go to: ✓Writing/Craftsmanship, ✓Premise/Theme and ✓Characterization 4.2 stars … Keep reading
