What a Week! [3]

What a week last week was!

Coding, coding, coding

It seems I can’t stop playing with my blog design. This week…

I tried at least three different logos, headings and social media icons. Like U2… “Still haven’t found what I’m looking for”

Added a carousel to my home page to feature my books.

It seems the books align better than with the Goodreads’ widget, so… me like!.

I’m writing down everything I’m learning while beautifying my blog to share in my Blogging tips. 🙂

Created a new page “Disturbia” where I will feature books with very sensitive topics.

The first book I will review in “Disturbia“… The Siren!

A few months ago, Amazon recommended a book called “The Angel”, the second in the series “Original Sinners”.

So, I bought the first one, The Siren, and read it… and OMG. It’s all I will say for now.

Posting, posting, posting…

My Books, Books and more Books! post was part of Karen’s weekly meme “Read This”.

Loved this meme. I got to read many great reviews around the blogosphere.

Thank you Karen.

My Blogging tip: How to Write a Book Review Part II, included Trish and Karen‘s tips.

My first Cover Reveal: The astonishing cover of Truthwitch.

Can’t wait for its release in January!

Book review # 2 in the Angels & Demons series: Before Angelfall there was… The Fallen!

My first post for writers: Book for Writers Deals. Free e-book: Publishing a Best-selling Novel.

My first Tour Around the Blogosphere post featured the friends I made with this fabulous Sunday Post meme.

Calling all bloggers out there! Please help me with the next post of this series.

What are your favorite blogs? Why? What are your favorite challenges, memes and features out there? Who is your favorite blogger? Who inspires you, motivates you, mentors or supports you?

I’ll stop by and make sure to let them know you mentioned them :)

Coming up this week…

Book Review: The Siren.

Here’s a sneak peek:

“Ok it took me a while to start writing this review. I was sitting there looking at the white screen; and that was when it clicked. I was in shock by the book. Then I knew I had to start by saying this: Tiffany is the perfect example of why authors were put in this world. To shock us, shake us, raise our  eyebrows , steal our smiles and draw our tears. To make us happy, angry, disgusted, to make us laugh and cry. To awaken our emotions. Tiffany’s does all that, and more. So… WARNING. Be ready to be awakened, to be shocked”

I will continue my tour around the blogosphere. I’m absolutely jealous of  the beautiful designs out there. They will be featured in my next “Around the Blogosphere” post.

That reminds me… I need to stay away from my WP dashboard and stop playing with my design so I can…

Read, read, read… and write, write, write 🙂

I have to finish and review two books that seemed awesome: “Too many white men“, “Stolen” and,  per Trish‘s request, “Daughter of Smoke and Bone

This post is part of the “Sunday Post” meme

  2. Hey! I haven’t stopped by before. I think Disturbia sounds like a great feature, and I like the dark moodiness of the header. I find the double headers a little hard to understand – but I do understand not knowing which way I want to go with a graphic. Pastel and iconic or dark and moody!
But, the beauty of blogging is that you should do what ever makes you happy regardless of what opinionated peeps like me spout!

  4. I love the carousel of books. I need to play around more with the different widgets and things available. I’d love to have something that shows the books I’m reading but I just haven’t put the time into figuring it out. I love discovering new series! The Siren sounds intriguing! Have a great week!
