Pamela Nicole @ A Writer’s Tale is angry because there’s a “heavy emphasis on how the world regards fantasy, imagination, fiction books as for entertainment” and she wants to know what you think about it. She also introduces us to Ariadne and the dystopian world she is building for Camp NaNoWriMo

Knowledge is power. That much has always been clear for Ariadne Afton

since she was a child […]  Imagination is power. It can’t be controlled or forbidden.

  1. Congrats on your progress so far! This was fun to read… and you’re getting a great response too.

Thanks for reminding me of Hidden Magic! I want to read LaLa’s WIP but haven’t signed on to wattpad yet. I need to do that this weekend.

  2. Yay new, pretty headers! I love them! I mean, *&$#@^% HOW DID I EVER SURVIVE UP UNTIL NOW WITHOUT THEM??!!!

Was that good? Not too over-the-top, was it?

If it makes you feel any better about getting rejected, I got rejected on Edelweiss this week :-/ And speaking of review copies, I just started reading The Other Side of Gravity, and I’m already not exactly loving it. But I’m only like 5% in, so maybe it’ll grow on me? *fingers crossed*

    • aww thank Kristen for noticing my headers! Only you babe! because you know I don’t like to brag and I was just sitting here, quiet as usual, waiting for someone to notice. 🙂
sorry to hear you got rejected! 🙁
BUT I was expecting more from you Kristen!!! Like a REALLY mean nasty comment!
I was expecting you and I to go all high-school mean girls on NetGalley 🙂 LOL (Just Kidding! we don’t want to piss her off more LOL)
Yup, I know what you mean about The Other Side of Gravity. I usually read the first pages of all my ARCs (I got an ADD reader reputation to maintain too you know!) and The Other Side of Gravity is dangerously looking like a DNF!

  3. Congrats on your WIP progress, Daniela, way to go!
I have tried to stay away from both Netgalley and Edelweiss, I have bought, received and won too many books lately… And 18 ARCs really isn’t too much – I have more! But my percentage is 90, so maybe that’s why they let me have so many at the same time? It’s scary, though, because I feel like reading back-listed books these days.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading and writing 🙂

18 ARC’s really isn’t to much!! And they all look so pretty.
Ow.. and I loved the interview you did with Kristen.

Have a great week and happy reading! 😉

  5. Oh, I want to read the Demonists so bad! I’m glad you liked it! I’m curious to see what your thoughts are on The Emperor’s Railroad! And Whoa, what an arc pile! Mine is starting to build up too (only 6 but still a lot for me)!

  6. Congrats on the pretty headers and the WIP progress.

I am too frightened of deadlines to get more NetGalley books than I can handle…which, for me, is no more than two a month. Yes, that’s me. I have six right now, but they are spaced out over the next few months.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  9. 18 ARCS?! OMG. I have about that much on my Netgalley as well but all from last year and I got overwhelmed, eventually I just gave up completely. They’re still sitting there lolol

Also, thanks for sharing my post 🙂

  10. I got rejected on NetGalley recently by a publisher that always approves me even when my ratio was much lower than it is now. I was not happy about it! Love the pretty headers and yay for progress on your writing! Have a great week!

  11. I have yet to read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, but have read several positive reviews. Lots of great titles on your list!

  12. The headers are great and I meant everything I said about your blog. I am finishing up The Demonists today. I need the next one now!!!!

  13. I have 25 books from net galley right now! 25! However, my ratio is still at 83% so even having that many books unrated hasn’t affected by feedback ratio so I think I am lucky. But, I still wanna cry when I get rejected.
Hopefully you two can repair your friendship this week! Have a great week!

  14. You’re reading the first Darynda Jones book!? How do you like it?
Oh no, BFF netgalley?! Why! I mean, 18 is a few but still… haha. I got the ARC for And I Darken too! So we’ll have to read it!
Love all the talk about WIPs and A Book Genesis! Eep, thanks for mentioning me too!

P.S. OW WOW look at those GORGEOUS HEADERS! 😉

  16. Yay congrats on reaching the first 5K milestone with your book! You’re doing great! I am so excited for you that you’re making progress with your book!

Sorry I didn’t stop by much this week! I read the interview with Kristen this afternoon and it’s such a great interview! You’re really good at coming up with questions tailored for each person. I can’t wait to see what questions you come up for me!

I got accepted for two books this week on netgalley, but there is this one publisher that keeps rejecting my request and I don’t know why.

I am looking forward to hear what you thought of the Stars Never Rise. I hope you’ll have a great week and good luck with your writing!

  17. I just got a copy of Red Rising this past week, can’t wait to read it. I’m trying so hard to not ask for Netgalley books unless I know I HAVE to read them. And so I understand your pain. I’ve decided though that the ones I know I’m not going to read, if it is because I may not ever get to it, I might go leave a DNF review or something on Netgalley to get my ratio up. Good luck!
