Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself
Hello beautiful schemers!
Welcome to week 2 of our “Let’s spread the bookish love” February extravaganza! Thank you again for all your suggestions! I added all your ideas to my “Spread the Love 2018” calendar of events
Week one was all about loving books. SEVENTY FIVE books were promoted here on the blog:
That’s EIGHTY SIX books promoted in February at Nocturnal Devices and I saw many more on your blogs and social media! Which is AWESOME!
Tina @ As Told by Tina mentioned she has “a link up for posts that bloggers felt didn’t get enough love throughout the month” A way to “find new blogs and find posts that I may have missed by not blog hopping regularly.” Let’s visit Tina and give our posts some extra love! Let’s promote MORE BOOKS!
Have you watched it? How did you like it?
You have to watch it if you haven’t! Here is the trailer…
I absolutely love anything written or directed by Guillermo del Toro. He is a genius. In fact, my favorite movie of ALL TIME is Pan labyrinth. I highly recommended if you haven’t watched yet. Here is the trailer.
There is no way I’m not reading the book now to be released on February 27th!
The most celebrated movie of the year is now the must-read novel of 2018.
“[A] phenomenally enrapturing and reverberating work of art in its own right…[that] vividly illuminates the minds of the characters, greatly enhancing our understanding of their temperaments and predicaments and providing more expansive and involving story lines.” —Booklist
Visionary storyteller Guillermo del Toro and celebrated author Daniel Kraus combine their estimable talent in this haunting, heartbreaking love story.
It is 1962, and Elisa Esposito—mute her whole life, orphaned as a child—is struggling with her humdrum existence as a janitor working the graveyard shift at Baltimore’s Occam Aerospace Research Center. Were it not for Zelda, a protective coworker, and Giles, her loving neighbor, she doesn’t know how she’d make it through the day. [read the rest of the blurb here].
And… Let’s talk!
If you miss the discussion Friday, here is another opportunity to voice your opinion about the “Broad Spectrum of Love“:
What kinds of love do you know?
What is you personal point of view about normalized representation for EVERYONE the spectrum of human sexuality?
What are your favorite sexuality and gender diverse books?
And what is next? What will “Week Two of Spread the Love” be about?
IT WILL BE ABOUT US! BOOKWORMS!
We are going to give ourselves LOTSA love!
Don’t miss this week’s post about social networks for bookworms and being a social bookworm. Join me in becoming a social butterfly and spread the love to all bookworms out there:
- Goodreads friends
- Book Bloggers
What other social networks or groups of bookworms should be included?
These are some ways we can show appreciation for other bookworms:
- Follow their blogs or social media accounts
- Like and tweet their posts
- Retweet their tweets
- Visit their blogs
- Comment on their posts and tweets
- Feature and promote their blogs and posts on our own blogs and social media accounts.
And my favorite way to show appreciation… Giving a bookworm ALL the spotlight with and interview!
So, in the following days I will be republishing these fantastic bloggers’ interviews, don’t miss them!
- Kimberly, @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer
- Kristen @ Metaphors and Moonlight
- Booker T’s farm
- Lexxie @ (Un)conventional Books Views
I am resuming this favorite feature of mine so, dearest book bloggers… Don’t be surprised if I ask you for an interview!
Bookworms, who are your favorite bloggers? Who would you like me to interview?
Please let me know!
